MILESTONES

Founded in 1996, AA Medical began as the pharmaceutical and medical arm of Aung Aung Enterprise. Armed only with persistence, salesmanship and resilience, AA Medical started out with just 5 employees engaging in door-to-door sales and marketing for less than 5 products. Since then, the company has expanded to a network of 15 branches located in key cities all over the country, allowing easier distribution and availability of its products for their loyal consumers.

Today, having expanded to accommodate the diverse needs of the people, AA Medical is the leading manufacturing and distributor of consumer healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and hospital care. AA Medical prides itself as having one of the most efficient and effective distribution networks in the country, and its products can be found in all corners of the country.

1996
AA Medical Products Ltd. was established in Yangon by a young graduate returning from America with one idea to create a self-sufficient healthcare business that will benefit the people of Myanmar. He started the business of pharmaceutical distribution in Yangon.
1997
Kalbe Farma, the largest publicly listed pharmaceutical company in Southeast Asia, appointed AA Medical as their business partner in Myanmar.
AA Medical Group quickly diversified by establishing AA Marketing to distribute Total Lubricant, one of the world's largest oil company from France. AA Marketing started distributing over 100 different kinds of lubricant.
The same year, AA Medical distributed 80 different kinds of medicine.
1999
A 31,682 square feet medical storage facility was built on 26th street, Mandalay City.
2000
AA Medical’s first regional branches were established in Mandalay and Taunggyi.
2002
AA Medical began a business partnership with Zydus Cadila, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in India. That same year, branch offices in Myitkyina and Mawlamyaing were established.
2004
AA Medical began a business partnership with GlaxoSmithKline and further expanded into new branch offices in Lashio and Sittwe. It also built a 300’ x 80’ double story medical store, covering a total of 48,000 square feet at Industrial Zone 1, Dagon Seikkan Township.
At the same site, Total Lubricant also built a 34,840 square feet building, to store and distribute lubricant products.
2005
AA Medical built a 4,650 sq. ft. paint storage facility in Mandalay.
2006
AA Medical annually rewards employees who have performed well. In 2006, six employees were commended with official awards.
2007
AA Medical began a business partnership with Unilab, a leading pharmaceutical company in the Philippines. Branch offices in Magwe and Myeik were also established.
2008
The Dawei branch office was established.
2009
The Kalay branch office was established.
2010
As part of AA Medical’s annual employee awards, nine employees were commended for their performance in 2010.
2011

On March 23rd 2011, the Success Pharmacy was opened at Yankin Children Hospital, Yangon. On December 24th 2011, AA Medical received the very first license issued for the manufacture of medical products. Subsequently, a medical factory covering a total area of 299,483 square feet (6.87 acres) was built on the Dagon Jetty, Yangon.

2012
AA Medical began a business partnership with Nipro, a world leading manufacturer of renal, medical-surgical and interventional radiology products. The same year saw the Pathein branch office become established, as well as the building of a 124,363.79 square feet medical store in Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township, Yangon.
2013
General Motors (the largest automobile manufacturer in United States) appointed AA Medical (Pacific-AA) as a National Exclusive Distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in Myanmar. Chevrolet Myanmar was established in April 2013 as a joint-venture between Alpine Group Singapore and Pacific AA Group Myanmar. The product portfolio includes Spark, Spin, Sail3, Cruze, Malibu, Trax, Trailblazer, Colorado, Tahoe and Suburban.
2014
AA Medical began a business partnership with Roche Diagnostics, a global pioneer in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, and also opened the Pyay branch office.
In February, the Chevrolet Brand Experience Center was established at No. 8, at the corner of Insein and Hledan Road, Kamaryut Township, Yangon. In November, Chevrolet opened a new 3S center on No. 242, Upper Pazundaung Road, Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township, Yangon.
2015
AA Medical began business partnership with Roche Diabetics and AGIO. 2015 also saw the establishment of the Naypyidaw branch office, as well as the building of a new 153,750 square feet and total capacity of 10,307 pallets, which was used for the National Main Distribution Centre in Thaketa Township, Yangon. It is 3.79 miles away from Mingalar Market ( pharma wholesale market ).
2016
In May, Chevrolet opened another new 3S (sales, service and sale of spare parts) center in Mandalay Division to serve Chevrolet customers and owners in the area. 

In 2016, Total lubricants distributed over 200 different kinds of lubricants.

The year saw AA Medical establish the Monywa branch office.

As of 2016, AA Medical employs over 1200 staff members and distributors over 6,500 different kinds of drugs, medical device, equipment, and reagents. Its extensive distribution network is served by over 100 cars and 65 motorbikes. From its founding 20 years ago until the present, AA Medical’s sales have increased 1100%.

Pacific PSP Syntech was established in Thilawa Economic Zone in Yangon. It is collaborated between one of the biggest Lubricant Distributors in Myanmar and the biggest Lubricant manufacturers in Thailand to manufacture the American Petroleum Institute (API) Standards’ lubricants for international brands and a wide variety of high quality lubricants for automotive, industrial, and marine applications.
2017
Chevrolet Myanmar reached another milestone by receiving the region's top dealer award "GM International (GMI) Grandmaster" among 116 dealers from 13 markets. The GMI Grandmasters was created to reward GM’s best of the best dealers in the region for their excellence. Winners were selected based on vehicle and parts sales, service, customer satisfaction and facility standards. They were judged on both the quantity and the quality of their operations. 

In July, another 1S Chevrolet center in Taungyi is opened.

In May 2017, AA Medical & Zuellig Pharma, the region's leading healthcare service providers began a strategic partnership to make healthcare more accessible in Myanmar.

On July 23rd, 2017, AA Medical celebrated the official opening of Pacific Medical Industries Ltd (PMI) new US$20 million manufacturing facility in Yangon. It adheres to the guideline of WHO’s Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and aims to be GMP certified by Korea, the EU and the Unite States. By investing in this facility, PMI is now able to provide affordable medication and pharmaceutical independence to the people of Myanmar.
2018

Pacific -AA Foundation/ Pacific Medical Industries Ltd, Myanmar and Chung-Ang University, Korea signed the Memorandum of Understanding on a mutually beneficial cooperative working relationship as to provide quality education to the Myanmar Pharmacist Society.
